Ronaldo endures his worst goal drought since 2010

Ronaldo came off the bench but failed to score in Man United's 1–1 draw vs. Burnley on Tuesday, extending his scoring drought with Manchester United to five matches—his longest stretch without a goal for his club since his early days with Real Madrid in 2010.

Qazet.az informs, citing Sports Illustrated, that Ronaldo had a chance to provide the winning goal for the Red Devils in stoppage time at Turf Moor but skied his header, with the struggles continuing for the Portuguese star and his club, even against the team at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Prior to Tuesday, Ronaldo had not scored against Wolverhampton, Brentford, West Ham and Middlesbrough. It's his five-game drought in club football since 2010, when he played for Real Madrid and failed to score against Malaga to close the 2009-2010 season and then Mallorca, Osasuna, Ajax and Real Sociedad to open 2010-11. That a drought like that hadn't happened since then speaks to the dominance and consistency of the player over such an extended period of time.
