Russia is preparing an assassination attempt on the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
Qazet.az reports with reference to UNIAN that this was stated by the analysts of the Robert Lansing Institute of the USA.
It was noted that the goal is to involve the Belarusian army in the war against Ukraine.
Analysts have confirmed that the Kremlin has already made a decision about this: "If the assassination attempt fails, Russia will provide fabricated evidence of the involvement of Ukraine and Poland in this case. Thus, the participation of Belarusian troops in the war against Ukraine can be ensured."
It was reported that one of the goals of the assassination attempt was to intimidate the President of Belarus and to push him to join the war on the part of Russia.
According to the probability, if the assassination attempt is successful, A. Lukashenko will be replaced by former Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Lt. General Stanislav Zas, who is loyal to Russia.
Experts do not rule out that Russia wants to unite the two armies under a single command.
