Russia has reported a record number of daily new Covid cases for the fifth successive day, the government coronavirus task force said, Qazet.az reports citing The Guardian.

Qazet.az reports that the new daily cases jumped to 67,809, from 65,109 a day earlier. The previous single day peak of Covid in Russia was in November 2021, when the country briefly recorded just over 40,000 cases in one day.
