The number of daily recorded cases in Russia surpassed 200,000 for the first time since the start of the pandemic, according to the Health Ministry's data updated on Friday, Qazet.az reports citing Tele Trader.

Health authorities reported 203,949 positive cases and 722 coronavirus-related deaths. The number of hospitalizations continued to stagnate over the past days, while on the other hand, recoveries remained in an upward trend.
