The Russian State Duma has adopted an appeal to President Vladimir Putin to recognize the independence of the "republics" of the separatist Donbas basin ("Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics"), Qazet.az reports citing TASS.

Earlier, deputies from the Communist Party asked Vladimir Putin to consider the recognition of the "Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics" as independent states, as well as to hold talks with them in the appeal addressed by Duma to the Russian President.
