Government has decided to restrict exports to Belarus
South Korea announced today that it's going to impose export controls on Belarus as well as Russia.
Seoul's foreign ministry said Sunday that the government has decided to restrict exports to Belarus because of actions it sees, in effect, as helping Russia invade Ukraine.
It said the measures will be similar to what it's imposed on Moscow.
Seoul announced this past week that it's cutting off exports to Russia of strategic materials as well as certain non-strategic materials, Qazet.az reports.
The ministry said it will notify the U.S. and others of the decision while seeking to protect Korean businesses and nationals overseas that might be affected.
