The Azerbaijan Boxing Federation (ABF) held a report-election conference on February 9, Qazet.az reports.

The event, organized in the administrative building of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, started out with performing of the national anthem, and Minister Farid Gayibov greeted the conference participants and wished them success.

The Secretary-General of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation Nagy Safarov reported on the activities of the federation in recent years. Then the election was held for the ABF leadership. Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev has been elected the new president of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation. He replaced Kamaladdin Heydarov in this post.

Speaking at the event, Sahil Babayev thanked for the confidence and said he would do his best for the development of this sport. "For this purpose, the opinions and thoughts of the specialists will be specially considered," he added.
