Qazet.az reports that this was discussed in the first reading of the bill "On the 2023 State Budget" at the joint meeting of the Public Unions and Religious Institutions, Science and Education, Family, Women's and Children's Affairs, Health, and Culture Committees of the Milli Majlis held today. Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said.

"One of the national development priorities defined by President Ilham Aliyev is related to the field of education, that is, the development of human capital. For this purpose, we allocate funds from the state budget. Over the last years, there has been a 2-fold increase, and in the strategy of socio-economic development, education has been increasing year by year. more funds are supposed to be allocated. Most of the increase is related to the increase in salaries. This is also natural. Because improving the salary system of those working in the field of education and teachers receiving a decent salary is one of the important issues," he said.
