Samir Sharifov: Using unlicensed programs can lead to serious fines

"Using unlicensed computer programs in state enterprises can expose us to very serious fines."

Qazet.az reports that this was said by Finance Minister Samir Sharifov while responding to the proposals made at the joint meeting of the committees held in the parliament regarding the discussion of the draft law "On the 2023 state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan".

It should be noted that deputy Nagif Hamzayev said that there are cases of using unlicensed programs in state institutions.

According to S. Sharifov, funds are allocated to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport in connection with the purchase of licensed computer programs for state enterprises of Azerbaijan, so that this issue can be solved centrally: "The Ministry should purchase licenses from IT companies operating in this field and provide state bodies with computer programs free of charge ".
