Samples were taken from the carcasses of seals found in the Azerbaijan section of the Caspian Sea
In order to determine the cause of death of the seal carcasses found in the Azerbaijan section of the Caspian Sea, samples were taken from the carcasses by specialists of the Biological Diversity Protection Service and the Food Safety Agency.

Firuddin Aliyev, head of the service, told Qazet.az reports that the public will be informed about the results of the analysis.

According to him, no traces of injury were found during the visual observations of the seals' bodies by experts.

It should be recalled that a few days ago, a mass death of seals was discovered on the Dagestan coast of the Caspian Sea. During the monitoring carried out by the employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in the Azerbaijani part of the Caspian Sea, seal bodies were also found on the sea shores of Istisu settlement, Tikanlioba, Seyidli and Nabran villages of Khachmaz.
