Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov will compete in the 3rd leg of the 2022 FIDE Grand Prix Series to be held in Berlin, Germany from March 21 to April 4.
Qazet.az reports that Mammadyarov was pitted against American Leinier Dominguez, Russian Daniil Dubov and German Vincent Keymer in Pool B.
The event will feature 16 elite chess players competing for a prize fund of €150,000 and the last two places in the Candidates Tournament scheduled to take place in Madrid in June.
