Shusha was elected a member of the League of Historic Cities
At the meeting of the General Assembly held within the framework of the 18th World Conference of the League of Historic Cities (HLC), which was held in Andong, South Korea, the membership of the city of Shusha was announced.
Qazet.az reports was informed about this by the State Reserve Department of Shusha City.
It was reported that the election of Shusha as a member of the league was announced by Shibata Shigenori, the general secretary of TSL.
Later, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Shusha district, Aydin Karimov, made a speech. He informed the participants of the General Assembly about the historical and cultural importance of Shusha, the vandalism committed by Armenians during the occupation, and the improvement and construction works carried out in Shusha.
Note that TSL is an international platform that includes 126 cities from different countries of the world. Within the framework of TSL, different cities cooperate closely in the direction of protecting historical and cultural heritage, protecting historical and cultural monuments and increasing the tourism potential of member cities.
