State Committee: Violence against women prevails in all countries
"Despite the measures implemented by states, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations, and despite the achievements, gender-based violence against women still prevails in all countries, and the level of impunity is high."
Qazet.az reports that this was said by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Family, Women's and Children's Problems, Sadagat Kahramanova, at a media event held under the name of "16-day campaign to combat gender-based violence".
According to him, this issue manifests itself in a number of environments, from the private sector to the state, including those where technology is used, and also crosses state borders in today's globalized world.
"Violence against women worries us all. The social environment also has the opportunity to take measures to end violence. This is not an individual problem, but a social problem, and the society you exist in can or should know how to formulate appropriate action strategies. In this regard, preventive measures are of great importance. "- S. Kahramanova stressed.
