In 2021, the State Seed Fund under the Agriculture Ministry imported a total of 340 tons of elite wheat seeds from Russia's Krasnodar Province, Qazet.az informs, referring to the ministry.
The fund's agronomists and specialists are currently inspecting the fields, where the seeds are planted, holding talks with farmers and farm owners, and giving recommendations on agro-technical services to be carried out after sowing.
Created at the Krasnodar Research Institute of Agriculture named after P.P.Lukyanenko, the seeds are resistant to rust, powdery mildew, and antimony, moderately sensitive to septeriosis and fusariosis. The seeds have 99% germination capacity and are fully adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Azerbaijan.
