In January-October of this year, 40.4 billion manat worth of food products, beverages and tobacco products, 17.7 billion manat worth of non-food goods were sold to consumers in Azerbaijan's retail trade network.

According to the information, compared to the same period last year, retail trade turnover increased by 2.9% in real terms, including food products, beverages and tobacco products by 2.2%, and non-food products by 3.6%.
In the months of January-October 2022, 51.6% of the funds spent by buyers on the goods purchased in the retail trade network were food products, 4.6% were drinks and tobacco products, 14% were textile products, clothing and shoes, 5.7 % of automobile gasoline and diesel fuel, 5% of electrical goods and furniture, 2.2% of pharmaceutical products and medical supplies, 1% of computers, telecommunication equipment and printing products, and 15.9% of other spent on the purchase of non-food items.
In January-October 2022, the value of goods sold by economic entities of the non-state sector increased by 2.9% in real terms compared to the same period of the previous year and accounted for 99.7% of the total retail trade turnover.
Compared to the months of January-October 2021, retail trade turnover in real terms increased by 3.4% for enterprises, by 2.1% for individual entrepreneurs, and by 4.0% at markets and fairs.
During the reporting period, one person of the population bought an average of 401.5 manat per month, including food products, beverages and tobacco products worth 225.6 manat, and non-food goods worth 175.9 manat.
