Students from Azerbaijan can apply for scholarships to Latvian universities
From February 1, 2023, citizens of Azerbaijan can apply for the Latvian State Scholarship program to study in higher educational institutions of this country, as well as to participate in summer schools.

Qazet.az report  that the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia released information about this.

Students who have successfully completed at least 1 year of education in Azerbaijani or Latvian universities can apply. Scholarships for bachelor's and master's degrees are for one academic year (10 months, doctoral students - up to 11 months), the amount of the scholarship is 500 euros per month for bachelor's and master's degrees, and 700 euros per month for PhD.

Re-application is required for the following year and the scholarship can be awarded to an individual for no more than two consecutive terms. The application process is usually organized online through the Dream Apply platform or other platforms.

In addition, the ministry said that students, academic and scientific workers of foreign universities have the right to receive scholarships to participate in summer schools.

The VIAA Latvia Summer School Scholarship is 1,000 euros per person for the entire period. But the participants of the summer school have to pay their own travel expenses from their country to the venue in Latvia.

The list of summer schools for next year will be known on February 1 and will be published on VIAA and "StudyinLatvia" websites. Applications should be submitted directly to the summer school organizers.
