Tanks, artillery batteries, planes, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were used in the "Brother Fist" joint exercise with the participation of the armies of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

According to Qazet.az reports, the joint exercise aims to increase the cooperation and interoperability of the Armed Forces of the two countries.

On December 6, as part of the exercise carried out in cold and snowy weather, artillery batteries first fired at the specified targets.

After the targets were accurately hit, the tank firing began. Then, after the T-72 and T-90 tanks destroyed the identified targets, the artillery batteries opened fire a second time. After the artillery fire, the attacks of the armored units began.

In the next part of the exercise, the wounded were evacuated by helicopter, at the same time, the operation of crossing the river with pontoon bridges was carried out, and artillery batteries were moved. All this process was carried out with the air support of Air Force elements.

The "Brother Fist" exercise was successfully completed with the capture of the planned targets.

It should be noted that the training involving the personnel of different types of troops of the Azerbaijan Army and the Turkish Armed Forces, combat and special-purpose engineer-fortification equipment, as well as military aviation vehicles, covers the city of Baku, as well as the territories of Astara, Jabrayil and Imishli regions.

In the joint exercise, the main focus was on ensuring combat coordination during the interaction of troops, improving management, sharing experience and increasing the professionalism of personnel.

Today, the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, the Minister of National Defense of Turkey, General of the Army Hulusi Akar, the Chief of General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Yaşar Güler, the Commander of the Ground Forces, General Musa Avsever, the Commander of the Air Force, General Atilla Gülan, Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, commander of the Navy, and high-ranking officers of Azerbaijan watched the training.
