Thailand raises rice exports to Azerbaijan by 5 times

Azerbaijani rice worth  showing a growth of 7.1 % in value terms and a drop of 3.9 %

Azerbaijan imported 20,063 tons ( January-April) of rice worth $ 15.991 million, showing a growth of 7.1 % in value terms and a drop of 3.9 % in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year, Qazet.az reports according to the State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 13,464 tons -7.6 % less compared to the previous year- of rice worth $12.134 million (+3.9 %) from India, 3,552 tons (+48.1 %) worth $1.919 million (+50 %) from Russia, 1,657 tons (-44 %) worth $838,100 (-36.3 %) from Kazakhstan, 1,018 tons (+5.1 times) worth $765,570 (+5.8 times) from Thailand, and 315.1 tons (-51.8 %) worth $272,310 (-42.3%) from Pakistan.
