The 100th anniversary of Zarifa Aliyeva will be celebrated

The 100th anniversary of the birth of outstanding ophthalmologist scientist Zarifa Aliyeva, who rendered special services in the development of medical science in our country, will be celebrated.

 Qazet.az reports according to Prezident.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed an order in this regard.

It should be noted that in April 2023, the 100th anniversary of the birth of Zarifa Aziz gizi Aliyeva, an outstanding scientist of Azerbaijan, Honored scientist, doctor of medical sciences, professor, full member of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, will be completed.

Academician Zarifa Aliyeva led a meaningful life as a true intellectual with a rich spirituality, and made significant contributions to the development of the medical field in our country with her comprehensive scientific activity. Sanballi's works, which are the successful result of the scientist's long-term research on the topical issues of ophthalmology, have always been appreciated and awarded a high price. New and effective treatment methods and complex preventive measures proposed in these studies have been successfully widely applied in a short period of time. As the first research center of the school of ophthalmology in Azerbaijan, a specialized scientific research laboratory was created precisely on the initiative of academician Zarifa Aliyeva. Zarifa Aliyeva, who always focused on medical ethics throughout her scientific and pedagogical activities, worked hard to train highly qualified personnel in the republic and formed a large generation of young scientists and ophthalmologists.
