The Agrarian Insurance Fund will pay 3 million manats by the end of this year

The Agrarian Insurance Fund is expected to pay 3 million manats by the end of this year in connection with insurance events.

Qazet.az reports about this with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the information, in 2021/2022, 55,024 agrarian insurance contracts were concluded for crop production, of which 41,529, i.e., about 75%, belong to wheat and barley fields.

In total, the Fund has insured 23% of the arable land in the country. Wheat and barley fields make up 370 thousand hectares of the 450 thousand hectares of cultivated land.

In the 2021/2022 planting season, the amount of insurance premiums collected for crop cultivation exceeded 11.5 million manats.
