The association responded to the allegation that hotels increase pre-trip prices
Those who face cases of pre-trip price increases of hotels in Azerbaijan should apply to the State Tourism Agency.

This was said by the executive director of the "Azerbaijan Hotel Association" Public Union, Gunay Sağlam, who answered the question of Qazet.az reports while commenting on the claims of tourism companies regarding unexpected price increases.

"If the hotel has a contract with the tourism company and both parties are professionals, such situations cannot happen. But sometimes unpleasant situations happen. Major hotels have complaint mechanisms and tourism agencies can apply to the State Tourism Agency based on those mechanisms. But as far as we know, there are no such cases in big hotels. Because prices are negotiated in advance and contracts are signed and acted upon. Seasonal prices are discussed and agreed upon in advance.

Currently, local tourism companies are mostly dissatisfied with the fact that they are not given priority. In fact, we are discussing this with local hotels. Many hotels have changed their prices for local tourism companies," he said.
