The autonomous status of Nakhchivan is canceled - Expert

I understand that preparations for canceling the status of the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan are accelerating. It is the right approach, in Azerbaijan, which is a unitary country, there is no need for a private status of any territory.

Qazet.az reports that these words were said by Natiq Jafarli Nakhchivan, a member of the ReAL IH, while commenting on the cancellation of the DTX.

He said that the legal basis of this step, the "leg" of constitutional reforms must be:

"In addition to many issues in the new Constitution, the administrative-territorial division of the country should be changed, the 14 economic regions created (including Karabakh, Eastern Zangezur and Nakhchivan) should be transformed into an administrative-territorial unit, local self-government should be strengthened, big city municipalities and the institute of elected mayors should be established. This will also be a factor that will speed up the political-economic-administrative-social integration of Azerbaijanis of Armenian descent living in Khankendi (again, it is not Azerbaijani ethnicity, but citizenship definition, top identity) into the country, and it will lead to system reforms and improvement of management throughout the country."

The foundation of the thesis that the "Karabakh conflict is over", that is, the correct approach, must be created and filled in, the expert added.
