The Azerbaijani rower became the European champion

  According to the information provided to Qazet.az repor by the Rowing Federation, Diana Dimchenko represented Azerbaijan in the continental championship.

Competing on behalf of "Baku" rowing club, Dymchenko started the competition from the semi-final stage. He showed the best result at this stage. Our athlete, who covered the distance of 4000 meters in 22 minutes, 56.72 seconds, reached the finish line first. With this, Diana Dimchenko qualified for the main final.

The representative of Azerbaijan performed successfully in the final. Dymchenko was awarded the title of European champion in coastal rowing, 5 seconds ahead of his closest competitor, Gonzalez Carota from Spain.

It should be noted that Dimchenko is the first representative of Azerbaijan to be awarded the title of European champion in coastal rowing.
