The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has announced the best referee of 2022.

Referring to the official website of IFFHS, Qazet.az reports that this name was awarded to Polish Shimon Marciniak.

The 42-year-old referee scored 150 points and surpassed his colleagues by a large margin. Italian Daniele Orsato, who was the best in 2020, took second place this time.

It should be noted that the best referee of 2021 was the German Felix Brix.
