The Council of Heads of State of the CIS adopted a number of decisions in the field of security

At the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS held in Astana on October 14, a number of decisions were made in the field of ensuring the security of the Commonwealth countries.

Referring to the Executive Committee of the CIS, Qazet.az reports that the heads of state have signed an agreement on cooperation in the fight against corruption. The document was prepared for the purpose of implementing the Concept of the CIS's future development and the Main Action Plan for the implementation of the Interstate Program for Joint Actions in the Fight against Crime.

According to this document, the CIS countries will provide legal assistance to each other in cases of corruption-related offenses, exchange operational information, normative documents, prepare relevant programs, and train and improve the qualifications of personnel.

The Council of Heads of State of the CIS also approved the Cooperation Program on Combating Terrorism and Extremism for 2023-2025. The measures envisaged in the program include the improvement of the organizational and legal mechanisms of cooperation in the field of combating terrorism and extremism, the preparation and implementation of joint measures aimed at the prevention, detection and prevention of terrorism and extremism, ensuring the activities of the CIS member states in this field from an informational, analytical and scientific point of view. , includes the development of the personnel potential of the competent authorities.
