Qazet.az report  with reference to "TRT Haber" that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this while addressing the people in Mardin.

He said that the motive of the issue is not a political dispute, but A.Imamoglu insulting the members of the Central Election Commission: "I also criticize some court decisions, but this does not give anyone the right to insult judges or not recognize court decisions."

R.T. Erdogan said that the issue has not yet been finalized and will be considered in two more court instances: "If there is a defect, they will fix it."

It should be noted that on December 14, the Istanbul court sentenced Ekrem İmamoğlu, the chairman of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, to 2 years, 7 months and 15 days in prison. He was accused of insulting the members of the Central Election Commission (CHP).

A. Imamoglu has the right to appeal the decision.

The decision will come into force only after the approval of the higher courts.
