At the session of the Milli Majlis held on December 20, MP Aydın Mirzazade proposed to increase the 14-day paid leave period to be given to fathers with a new child.

According to Qazet.az reports", he said that 14 days is too short to take care of a baby.

The deputy noted that it takes at least 1 month to look after the baby: "I think that a month is not a long time for public and private companies."

It should be recalled that proposals were made to the Milli Majlis to amend the legislation to make the 14-day unpaid leave given to fathers due to the birth of a child on a paid basis, and the reaction was positive.
