In Azerbaijan, the proposed amendment project to the law "On Medical Insurance" regarding coverage of wedding hosts, musicians, dancers, tailors and hairdressers with compulsory medical insurance was adopted.

Qazet.az reports that the proposed amendment to the law "On Medical Insurance" was discussed in the third reading at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis.

The draft amendment was prepared in accordance with the law dated December 3, 2021 on amending the Tax Code.

In the project, mainly in two categories - natural persons engaged in the types of activities provided for in Article 220.10 of the Tax Code on an individual basis (without involving hired workers) (hosting at weddings, parties and other events, playing instruments, dancing and other similar activities, repairing household equipment persons engaged in the activities of shoemaker, tailor, hairdresser, etc.) and natural persons (owned and It is intended to be covered by compulsory medical insurance for passengers and cargo transportation in the country (including by taxi) or those who carry out such transportation on the basis of a contract with other persons.

With the acceptance of the document, natural persons of this category will be able to benefit from the services of compulsory health insurance by paying an amount equal to 4% of the minimum salary.
