The first rowing test races were held in the Caspian Sea
Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation (AKAF) held a test race in the Caspian Sea.
According to the information provided by AKAF to Qazet.az reports, the organization plans to organize various training camps and competitions on sea rowing in the near future.
It was stated that considering that the population lives in the capital city of Baku, this step will play an important role in the formation of the national team in the future.
It should be noted that rowing has been practiced professionally in Azerbaijan since the end of the 1930s precisely in the Caspian Sea. In 1933, 3 yacht clubs were launched. At that time, it was possible to observe the struggle of rowers competing in Baku Bay from the seaside boulevard.
