The chairman of the European Parliament (AP) faction of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, Irache Garcia, called on the former deputy speaker of the parliament, Eva Kayli, to explain before her arrest.

Qazet.az reports that the Brussels "EURActiv" portal published information about this.

A source in the faction said that I. Garcia asked E. Kayli for an explanation regarding his participation in the meeting of the parliamentary committee on visa liberalization between the European Union (EU) and Qatar. Thus, although the former deputy chairman of the AP is not a member of this committee, according to the results of the meeting, additional votes that did not belong to the deputies from the committee were detected. In this regard, one of the deputies of the European Parliament even sent a complaint to Garcia about this step of Kayli.

Later, Eva Kayli was expelled from the ranks of PASOK, which became part of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats.

It should be noted that the former vice-chairman of the European Parliament, Eva Kayli, and three other people were arrested in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, as part of the investigation regarding the current world championship.
