The Iranian ambassador was summoned to the Italian MFA
Iran's ambassador to Italy, Mohammadreza Saburi, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country.

Qazet.az reports with reference to "Al-Arabiyya" that Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani received the diplomat.

He brought to M. Saburi's attention that the harsh interference of the Iranian authorities in women's actions is unacceptable.

According to information, some time ago, A. Tayani officially stated that Rome strongly supports the women's actions in Iran. The head of the Foreign Ministry called the behavior of the Tehran regime "unacceptable disgrace".

However, Minister Giorgi Meloni said that his government has kept the diplomatic door open with Tehran.

It should be noted that M. Saburi was appointed the ambassador of Iran to Italy some time ago. Before that, he worked as Tehran's ambassador to Belarus.
