The last 2 trains received by Metro from Russia have arrived in Baku

The last 2 trains purchased by "Baku Metropoliteni" CJSC from the "Metrovagonmash" enterprise, which is a part of "Transmashholding" JSC of Russia, have arrived in the capital of Azerbaijan.

Bakhtiyar Mammadov, head of the institution's press service, told Qazet.az reports about this.

According to B. Mammadov, the wagons are currently in the depot: "After the tuning, testing and adjustment process, the trains will be put on the line.

With this, the number of new trains in the Baku metro has reached 23, and the number of carriages has reached 115.

It should be recalled that, according to the contract concluded in 2019, the Baku metro should purchase a total of 12 trains (60 wagons) from Russia in 2020-2022.
