The latest epidemiological situation related to COVID-19 in Azerbaijan has been announced
"Despite the onset of cold months, the absence of a sharp increase in the number of coronavirus infections is desirable and suggests that the epidemiological situation is under control."

Tayyar Eyvazov, specialist-expert of the Ministry of Health, infectious disease specialist, said this in a statement to Qazet.az reports

He said that in recent times, the number of new cases of infection with the coronavirus has been observed to be fluctuating in minimal numbers: "The number of active patients also increases and decreases at certain intervals. Despite the onset of cold months, the absence of a sharp increase in the number of infections is desirable and suggests that the epidemiological situation is under control.

"If a new, mutant strain that can significantly evade acquired herd immunity does not enter circulation, we can conclude that the situation will continue like this. Our advice to the population remains the same as it has been throughout the pandemic," said the official of the ministry.

It should be noted that in recent days, there has been a relative increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan. The number of active patients is over 500.
