The names of three candidates for the chairmanship of the Union of Writers were announced
The XIII Congress of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union (AYB) is being held.

Qazet.az reports that more than 20 guests from Turkey, Russia, Lithuania, Israel, Pakistan, Georgia, Germany, Iraq, Belarus and Iran are participating in the Congress held at the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater.

Elections will be held at the congress for the position of the chairman of the AYB. The names of three candidates for the chairmanship of the Union are known. They are People's writer Anar Rzayev, poets Emil Rasimoglu and Fuad Jafar.

It should be noted that the current chairman of AYB is People's Writer Anar Rzayev, who has been leading it since 1987.
