The new General Secretary of the CSTO has started working
The new Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov officially started his work by being presented at the meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
Qazet.az reports with reference to "Sputnik Armenia" that this was written in the telegram of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia.
It was reported that Alexander Volfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, presented the new Secretary General of the organization, Imangali Tasmagambetov from Kazakhstan, during the meeting of the Standing Council of the CSTO.
It should be noted that I. Tasmagambetov was born on December 9, 1956 in Kazakhstan. During these years, he worked as the State Secretary, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan. I. Tasmagambetov also worked as Kazakhstan's ambassador to Russia in 2017-2019. He was appointed to this position last November. Previously, the General Secretary of the CSTO was Stanislav Zas.
It should be noted that CSTO includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia.
