The place of Azerbaijani boxers in the world ranking has been revealed

The International Boxing Association (IBA) announced the new ranking table.

According to the information provided to Qazet.az report by the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation, 7 boxers of the country were included in the list of 25 weight classes (13 men, 12 women).

The best result in the national team belongs to the world champion, the winner of the European Games, the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics, Alfonso Dominguez. He is the second strongest boxer in the world in the weight class of 86 kg. Dominguez has 2000 points. The member of the team was included in the ranking of athletes in the 80 kg weight category. The boxer, who won a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in 81 kg, ranked 4th in this list with 1300 points.

A total of 120 countries were included in the list. Azerbaijan as a team ranks 30th in this list and has 7400 points. The table is headed by the USA with 34,950 points.
