The President has signed a decree on conscription
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on calling up citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan for active military service for a period from January 1 to 30, 2023, and releasing active military servicemen to the reserve.

Qazet.az reports that, according to the order, those born in 2005 and turned 18 years old by the day of conscription (including that day), as well as those born in 1988-2004, up to 35 years old, serving in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan for a term Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have not completed active military service, who do not have the right to a deferment from being called up for regular military service, or who have not been exempted from being called up for regular military service, will be called up for regular military service from January 1 to 30, 2023.

According to Article 38.1.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Military Duty and Military Service", active military servicemen who have completed their term of service will be released to the reserve from January 1 to 30, 2023.
