On November 29, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the delegation headed by Batir Atdayev, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan for Trade Complex.
Qazet.az reports that Batir Atdayev conveyed the greetings and respect of the President of Turkmenistan, Sardar Berdimuhamedov, to President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that the visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan in June of this year to participate in the VI Summit of the Heads of the Caspian States in Ashgabat is of great importance in his country.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to Sardar Berdimuhamedov.
At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the development of Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan bilateral relations, the issues to be discussed at the meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic and humanitarian cooperation between our countries to be held in Baku today were mentioned, and opinions were exchanged on the issues of energy, transport, logistics, mutual supply of goods.
During the conversation, it was noted that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan has increased, and the importance of implementing joint projects for the further expansion of this turnover in the coming period was emphasized. At the same time, opportunities for cooperation in shipbuilding, ship repair and other industries were discussed.
