The problems related to advisory services in the agricultural field in Azerbaijan have been revealed
In Azerbaijan, the contact, integration and cooperation of persons providing advisory services in the field of agriculture with farmers, research and academic institutions is weak.
Qazet.az reports that Ciaran Gannon, an expert of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), said this at the webinar held on the project "Strengthening agricultural advisory services in Azerbaijan".
"There are some missing points in the organization, coordination and management of advisory services in the agricultural field. In addition, there are insufficient opportunities and skills of advisors, especially in directing innovations to the sustainable production market, facilitating value chain support services for youth and rural women. Also, quality assurance and monitoring assessment mechanisms are weak", he said.
