The Supreme Court rejected the appeal of the former Deputy Minister of Culture
 
The cassation appeal against the decision on the former Deputy Minister of Culture Rafig Bayramov was considered.

Qazet.az reports that in the process chaired by the judge of the Supreme Court, Nazim Movsumov, the appeal was not satisfied and the decision of the Baku Court of Appeal was upheld.

It should be recalled that Rafig Bayramov was arrested in May 2020 in an operation conducted by the State Security Service (SSS).

He was found guilty of abuse of power, embezzlement and forgery and was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Later, the Baku Court of Appeal reduced the prison term to 4 years and 6 months.
