The term of military service in Russia can be extended

Viktor Bondaryov, chairman of the defense and security committee of the Russian Federation Council, said that the term of military service in the Russian Armed Forces can be extended up to two years.

Qazet.az reports about this. "We will consult with the Ministry of Defense, conscription service and law enforcement agencies. I think that our proposal will be supported", Viktor Bondaryov emphasized.

According to him, new military equipment is included in the arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces, and it is impossible for the soldiers to master them in a year.

It should be noted that Senator Vladimir Jabarov and State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet made a similar initiative in October of this year.
