The UN Climate Conference has started its work

The official opening ceremony of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-27) has begun in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

Referring to foreign media, Qazet.az reports that during the session, the chairmanship of the UN Conference will be handed over to Egypt, which is hosting the current international forum, by the president of the previous summit (COP-26) British Alok Sharma.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri will speak as the chairman of the session.

The event will continue until November 18. Heads of state and government will make appeals on November 7 and 8. The appeals reflect the countries' position on ecology, resource protection, food security, protection from natural disasters, green energy, and financial support to the poorest countries.
