The US does not rule out the possibility of using military force against Iran
"Despite the fact that official Washington prefers diplomatic ways to reach an agreement with Iran on its nuclear program, the United States may use military force against this country."

Qazet.az reports with reference to TASS that Robert Melli, the US special representative for Iran, said this in an interview with "La Repubblica" newspaper.

"Neither we nor US President Joseph Biden want this. But if all other options fail, the last option will be the military option. The president has clearly stated that Iran will not be allowed to have nuclear weapons," he said.

It should be recalled that earlier there were reports that Iran has started enriching uranium up to 60% at the Fordo nuclear facility located near the city of Qom.

Melli also stressed that diplomacy is always preferred, but Iran has not shown any real desire to return to the deal.

"Currently, two more and extremely important factors are added here. These are Russia's military assistance to Iran and the suppression of peaceful protests in the country," said Melli.

According to him, the role of the United States is to impose sanctions against Iran in order to protect the rights and freedoms of Iranians.
