The US House of Representatives did not accept the anti-Azerbaijani amendments proposed by pro-Armenian congressmen to the country's defense budget project for the 2023 financial year.

The local bureau of Qazet.az reports that 350 people voted for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which includes a defense budget of 858 billion dollars.

Pro-Armenian congressmen - Democrats Adam Schiff, Frank Pellon, Judy Chu and Republican Gas Bilirakis voted against the document.

According to the current rules, the bill must also be voted on in the US Senate and then submitted to the President for his signature.

It should be noted that two amendments were proposed by pro-Armenian democratic congressmen Robert Menendez and Alex Padilla, and 5 amendments were proposed by Jackie Speyer, Frank Pellon, Adam Schiff and Tony Cardenas to the country's defense budget project for the fiscal year 2023. Among them, amendments No. 682 and 724 contained a ban on US aid to Azerbaijan.
