The value of the notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan in circulation has exceeded 1 billion manats

Today, the value of the notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) in circulation exceeded 1 billion manats for the first time since March 17 last year.

Qazet.az reports about this with reference to the institution.

According to information, the total value of the notes increased by 60 million manats compared to the previous day and reached 1 billion 50 million manats.

It should be noted that the CBA has been implementing yen monetary policy since September 1 this year. In this framework, the lower limit of the interest corridor was reduced to 4%, and 84, 168 and 252 day notes were released into circulation in addition to 28-day notes. Currently, the annual yield of the notes is 3.79%, 4.19%, 4.41% and 4.78%, respectively.
