This year, the average yield of rice in Azerbaijan increased by 1.4 cents/ha

Qazet.az reports  that the Ministry of Agriculture released information about this. This is 1.4 cents/ha more than last year's final average yield.

According to the decision of the Agrarian Subsidy Council, 360 manats of planting subsidy is given to farmers for each hectare of paddy cultivated area.
 Also, the necessary infrastructure has been created in the territory of Lankaran region for conducting research on rice selection and seed production.

From 2020, selection studies are being carried out in the Lankaran region according to the approved theme plan for rice selection for 2020-2024 at the Agricultural Research Institute. Every year in Lankaran, 1-1.5 hectare area is planted with super-elite reproduction of the "Avangard" variety, and 2.5-3 tons of elite seeds are produced and given to regional farmers.

It should be noted that this year rice was planted in 9 districts of the republic. The total area of ​​rice cultivation is 3 thousand 194.25 hectares. In 2022, most rice was planted in Lankaran (802.3 ha), Agdash (681 ha) and Ujar (678 ha) regions.
