A delegation led by the head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament Nikoloz Samkharadze will pay an official visit to Turkey on October 18-19, Report informs.
The delegation will take part in the IX trilateral meeting of the heads of the foreign relations committees of the Georgian, Azerbaijani and Turkish parliaments in Ankara.
The meeting participants will discuss all critical issues on the agenda of trilateral collaboration, threats to security in the Black Sea region and opportunities to strengthen regional cooperation.
Bilateral meetings are also expected to be held during the visit.
The Georgian Parliament views the trilateral cooperation format as an important platform for the parties to discuss the processes taking place in the region, essential aspects of the trilateral strategic partnership, and future steps to further develop and strengthen cooperation between the countries.
