Transit oil transportation via BTC decreases by 20%

This figure is 2.6% lower than in the same period last year

From January through August 2021, 23.331 million tons of oil were transported via Azerbaijan's main oil pipelines, Qazet.az informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, this figure is 2.6% lower than in the same period last year.

Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline accounted for 74.7% or 17.435 million tons of the total exports, which indicates an 8.6% decrease compared to a year ago.

During the first eight months of 2021, BTC also transported 2.214 million tons of transit oil, 19.9% less than a year earlier.
