Turkey attaches great importance to the peace and security in the region, Turkish Parliament Speaker Mustafa Shentop said at a meeting with his Georgian counterpart Shalva Papuashvili, Qazet.az reports.
He said that Turkey supports Georgia's integration into NATO and other Euro-Atlantic organizations, as well as its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Shentop noted that trade between the two countries reached $ 2.1 billion in 2021.
During the meeting, the parliaments of Turkey and Georgia signed a document on cooperation.
