Turkish companies may invest in Azerbaijan's textile industry

Turkish companies intend to expand their activities in the textile industry, and rural sector of Azerbaijan, head of Turkish-Georgian Businessmen's Association Osman Chalishkan told Qazet.az.

"Currently, numerous Turkish companies operate on textile industry in Georgia. These companies can operate in Azerbaijan too. Meetings will be held with Azerbaijani partners in this regard," he said.

According to him, the prime ministers of Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan want to increase trade turnover. In particular, measures are being taken to improve the annual trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey to $ 15 billion. For example, the International Business Forum was held in Baku with the support of the Turkish Association of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen (MUSIAD). About 1,000 Turkish businessmen attended the forum. An Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia business forum was also held on December 14. At the same time, Georgia is a door to Turkey for the Caucasus. I hope the two countries, together with Azerbaijan, will achieve great success in the Caucasus. In this regard, high-ranking officials of the three countries provide the necessary support."
